ART BEAUTY in the mountains: Nepal and Ararat
Two expeditions, real photographs and a familiar bottle. Explore the ART BEAUTY INDUSTRY archive from Kala Patthar in Nepal and Mount Ararat.
Two expeditions, real photographs and historical packaging. Nepal and Ararat remain in the ART BEAUTY archive as stories of people who took our products on their journeys.
01
A bottle in the expedition archive
Sometimes an ordinary photograph tells a product’s story best. In one image from our archive, an expedition participant holds a white bottle against snow and blue sky. Its label reads ART BEAUTY INDUSTRY and Freshness Spray, a product for feet and shoes. Other frames show flags, groups of climbers and moments along the route.
The photographs, shared by the brand’s team, preserve two separate journeys: an expedition to Nepal and an ascent of Mount Ararat. They bring the people and places behind ART BEAUTY into view — and show how a familiar product became part of someone’s personal kit.
02
Nepal, 2021: Kala Patthar
The expedition banner reads “Kala Pathar”, “Nepal — 2021” and “5550 m”. In the group photograph, participants stand among snowy rocks and prayer flags, holding the ART BEAUTY INDUSTRY banner. Those details anchor the story in a particular place and year.
The team’s account identifies Serhii Bershov as the group leader and recalls that the journey took place during the pandemic. These photographs document Kala Patthar, a Himalayan peak, rather than the summit of Everest. The elevation printed on the banner is preserved as part of the original archive.
03
Ararat: a Ukrainian flag on the snowy summit
A second series takes us to Ararat. Three participants unfold a Ukrainian flag; another photograph shows the ART BEAUTY INDUSTRY banner beside a Turkish flag. According to the team’s archive, Hennadii Kopeika led the group.
One particularly striking frame shows Freshness Spray standing in the snow. There is no studio scenery — just the bottle, tracks on the slope and a distant horizon. Together with the participant’s portrait, it records a specific product that accompanied the journey.
04
The practical side of a long journey
A long trip is made up of ordinary daily needs: equipment, clothing, personal hygiene and the small things each person decides to pack. Here, one of those items was a spray for feet and shoes. Its intended use is visible on the historical label: “For feet and shoes”.
For ART BEAUTY, these pictures matter as records of real use. They place a product in the context of the people who chose it — far from a studio, among the other belongings that travelled with them.
05
Keeping the details of the story
The photographs show earlier ART BEAUTY INDUSTRY packaging. The labels and flags belong to their moment in time, so we have kept them visible. Each picture can be enlarged and opened in its original form.
Nepal and Ararat are two chapters in a wider story of scientific curiosity, product development and the people who use the results. The founder’s professional work and support for Ukrainian service members continue that story on our About page.
